What is the Hippocampe Beach Wheelchair?
The Hippocampe Beach Wheelchair is a three wheeled wheelchair which can be pushed, towed or self propelled. The tyre design enables the wheelchair to travel across soft sand, gravel and other mixed terrain surfaces. Users of the Hippocampe beach wheelchair can enter the water with support.
Ideal for people who have mobility limitations, including those with permanent disability, temporary disability or those with reduced mobility due to age.
The wheelchair can be dismantled and packs into a bag (approximately 120cm long by 70cm wide by 37cm high) for easy transportation.
Bookings
To book the Hippocampe Beach Wheelchair please contact the Inverloch Visitor Information Centre on 1300 762 433. The wheelchair can be picked up and dropped off at Inverloch Visitor Information Centre at 16 A’Beckett Street, Inverloch.
The centre is open from 9am to 5pm, 364 days a year (limited hours Good Friday and Anzac Day, closed Christmas Day).
Hiring Requirements
Hire of the wheelchair is free. A $50.00 refundable deposit is required at the time of pick up and will be refunded upon safe return of the wheelchair.
Pick up is from 2pm to 5pm. Return is by 12 noon on the final day of hire.
A loan agreement form must be filled out and signed at the time of pick up and payment of deposit. Visitor Information Centre Staff can assist filling in the form if required.

What is the All Terrain Beach Wheelchair?
The All Terrain Beach Wheelchair has large, wide tyres which make light work of loose sand. With rear wheel steering this chair can pivot easily and can be dismantled for transport with a large vehicle. This wheelchair is ideal for people who have mobility limitations, including those with permanent disability, temporary disability or those with reduced mobility due to age.
Bookings
To book the All Terrain Beach Wheelchair please contact Focus on Lifestyle on 1300 762 433. The wheelchair be picked up and dropped off at Focus on Lifestyle at Warehouse 7, 28 The Concourse, Cowes. For a fee, delivery can be arranged upon request at time of booking.
Focus on Lifestyle is open from 9am-4pm Monday to Friday and open on weekends by prior appointment.
