Visitor Information Centres
Whether you are staying in Cowes or Cape Woolamai on Phillip Island, Inverloch or Cape Paterson on the mainland , there is a network of Information Centres to help you make the most from your visit to Bass Coast.
Visit our “One-Stop Shops” for information, accommodation bookings and ticket sales. The friendly staff and volunteers at any of our Visitor Information Centres will happily assist you with information on:
- Accommodation
- Eateries - restaurants, cafes and take away venues
- Wineries and local produce
- Attractions & activities - including the Penguin Parade, various art, craft & antique galleries, local markets and events
- Walking tracks and tours
- Swimming, boating and fishing
The Information Centres also stock a range of maps and information on other regions throughout Victoria and Australia and our trained staff and volunteers can assist with any general inquiries you may have. Phillip Island Visitor Information Centre carries a wonderful range of gifts, books and souvenirs for you to purchase as a reminder of your stay. Products can be viewed and purchased online. While in our Visitor Information Centres you can also inquire about our upcoming events and request a copy of the current Calendar of Events that lists event details including markets, sporting events and festivals.
The staff and volunteers at each Centre can also help you with all the information you will need if you are travelling on or staying a while. The centres are located on the mainland at Inverloch and Wonthaggi. There are two centres on Phillip Island - the Phillip Island Information Centre is at Newhaven with another centre is conveniently located in Cowes.
The centres operate in cooperation with local business and tourism associations and are committed to the process of accreditation as the best model to provide services to the public.
